HMS Artegal (CL-493) was a
chapter of The
Royal Manticoran Navy based in Alexandria, Virginia.
The Royal Manticoran Navy is the Official Honor Harrington Fan Association. David Weber's Honor Harrington novels are like the C. S. Forester novels about Horatio Hornblower, but set in the 41st Century instead of the 19th Century. There are 23 novels and short story collections so far, 20 of which are free to read electronically since Bean Books provides electronic versions (in html, text, and other formats) for free through their website. HMS Artegal was an Avalon-class light cruiser and the lead ship in Light Cruiser Squadron 1 of Task Group 1 of Task Force 1 of the First Fleet. In November 2012, the crew of HMS Artegal were reassigned to HMS Leopard (CA-430).
